The Studio, Stratford-upon-Avon
So, sat here on a cold Sunday October afternoon in my study, the journey is, it can safely be said, about to begin. The air is full of excitement; well I am, can’t say much for the cat who is fast asleep in the armchair.
Rather excitingly, after twenty years of thinking about writing a book about Edward II, the project is finally becoming real. Much beyond the book, I never thought I would be writing a blog about my experiences, but actually, I’ve always been one to share things that are important to me, and so a blog feels like a good way of bringing you all on the journey with me.
So boil the kettle, make a cuppa and hold onto the seat of your pants because, much like Bilbo Baggins, this unexpected journey begins today…
…though no sign of the dwarves and the wizard yet!
Oh well.
So we are off, I hope you enjoy the adventure.
